About Barangay Irisan
Irisan is a barangay in Baguio City, Benguet, Philippines. Originally a part of Tuba, Benguet, Irisan became one of the barangays of Baguio City in the later part of 1930.
The name "Irisan" comes from the Ibaloi word "ISHISAN" - when used as a noun, it refers to a wooden bowl used to crush "sili" which serves as an appetizer in a typical Ibaloi home.
